Pee Man Pee
65The men's room urinal features a photoelectric beam that activates a rock waterfall when one pees into it. And I think as many women go check it out as men that use it....:O) Hummm I wonder why??? are they trying to catch a peek???nahhhh.....
The Madonna Inn has 109 guest rooms, and some like you have never seen before cause each has a different theme , and a very hot pink dining room. The gas station that used to be there has been converted into a wine shop. And some of the best wines I ever tasted....yum...Calif. wine.
The Madonna's opened the Inn in 1958 with just 12 rooms. The man and wife team's fortune came from the construction business which he owned and it included the removal of giant boulders - many of which were used in building the Inn. The room we stayed in was called THE CAVEMAN ROOM and was all made with boulder's....and we felt like we were in a cave...I loved the shower yummm... In 1965, the main complex was completed: a Swiss chalet-style building with dining room, coffee shop, lobby and gift shops.
The most elaborate theme rooms are in the Hilltop Unit which has 84 rooms The Gold Rush Dining Room, has a hand-carved marble balustrade, round hot pink booths, kitcheny paintings and gold light fixtures (actually made of scrap copper). The coffee shop serves sandwiches made with pink bread. And the sugar is pink crystals...very pink...but harmful so they said.
Rooms at the Madonna Inn are booked months in advance. The Caveman Room (where we stayed) features rocks and a waterfall shower. It is connected to the Daisy Mae Room by a four foot crawl space tunnel. The Old Mill Room has a functioning mill. The Buffalo Room features a taxidermied buffalo head mounted on the wall , to name a few.We didn't get to stay in these but took a few peeks... Each room features upholstery and a color scheme that fit each theme.
And really for the pleasures we had the prices weren't that bad...Although I must admit it was in 1972 we were there...and we happened upon it by accident, plus the fact we were very tried....Oh to be young again....:O)

What an inn! Thanks for posting this. Please take a peek at latest hub too.
Hey kids, G-Ma is hanging out in the men's restroom again!
Fun Hub,
Keep on Hubbing!
I wonder what they have in the ladies room?
G-Ma - I have actually been to the Madonna Inn it is a very "interesting" place. Great hub!!
Nice to have a natural embience while peeing. Would help with the release factor somewhat and you can leave the bathroom all refreshed at a much deeper level. :)
That is way cool G-Ma, when I'm rich, I'm getting one just like that, but there's no guarantees I still won't miss
The video setting looks like one of our zoo exhibits. Wouldn't want to have that happen at the zoo.
peeing and a rock waterfall activates? Well I never, the sound of that water running will keep the poor men peeing for ages
LOL at Cindys comment. This looks like an intersting place Gma. I like the look of that copper bathtub, very pretty.
Are you kidding me? You're more than a week late, aren't you?
Have a happy Easter, all the same.
Sorry, that I double clicked.
Have a double Happy Easter.
I gotta get me one of those.....nice hub G-Ma
Very Interesting as it is always great to check out something new!!! The men's waterfall is comical and boys will be boys apparently that fascinated them to, or they wouldn't placed on video!!! lolololol Love the Hub..:)
Such an interesting place! Thanks for introducing it to the rest of us who would never have known about it. The decorator must have had a ball in choosing the different themes and appropriate decor for each.
Haha, that video was priceless. I think I'd feel pretty awkward about a machine actually "reacting" to me like that. It would feel kinda creepy I think, haha. The caveman room sounds really awesome though. I could definitely go for that. Sounds like you had a really fun time.
Sweet hotel. I would love it, but I'd pass on the urinal peeps. Seen one dude pee, you've seen 'em all! Pink bread and sugar? That's cool...I must say.
Thanks for the tour. your are a good guide. the pee pond is interesting too.
That hotel is bad ass...I want to go there just to see the bathrooms LOL..what a great and interesting hub G-ma! You are one cool chica!!!
Sounds like lots of fun to be had. Might be interesting to try every room. Well, all but the Buffalo Room. I have a hard enough time sleeping without some giant creature staring down at me.
Amy G's comment cracked me up. But I wouldn't go in there to watch the guys pee. It'd be to see the waterfall. The real one, I mean.
G-Ma, this is a great hub! I like the waterfall...uhh...gotta run, I have to go... #1. ; )
Man, I just gotta book that cave man room. It will satisfy all of my primal urges!

Good grief! Glad I didn't have to clean that urinal when I worked in the bar in Glasgow! Happy Easter, G-Ma, and thanks for coming by my hub just to wish me a happy egg-day, too! Hugs, Teresa.
