Words without Deeds mean Nothing

YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING YOU LIKE...BUT IT IS WHAT YOU DO THAT COUNTS
And I am guilty of deeds un-done..My Mother very much enjoys going to church on Sundays..Well at first I did take her to church.... then I fell back and she found a stranger to take her..She enjoyed this very much...and it gave me some freedom for myself...so I just let her go with these strangers.
Well after a few weeks, I began to feel guilty and demanded to know their names and phone numbers , which these very caring people readily gave to me.Then I provided and prepared my Mother with some ID to always carry with her. Well this lastest for about 4-5 weeks..
My Neice, lives here also, so she began to take mom to church on Sunday's ,but being a working mom with 2 small children she was usually late and mom was not too happy with sitting way in the back...Well needless to say my niece failed to continue....so mom went without church visits on Sunday's. And actually never complained much..Just would ask me "Is it Sunday today"
So I began to feel very sad and now we go to church every Sunday to the 10:00 o'clock mass..I make sure we get there by 9:40 and get a close seat..so she can hear well (she wears hearing aides)..I must confess that it has done me more good then she will ever know. She is very happy and loves her Sunday's in the church.
I guess the point is promises are easy to make....but not as easy to keep...hence the saying I found "Words without Deeds mean Nothing"..I now have more meaning to my life because she is Happy..:O) It is a long road Alone

G-Ma, the text shown in the preview is missing!
It can be a long road alone so glad you are not on it alone and have your mom with you ... this is great and further proof for me that things in life even for others do happen for a reason if at first we may not "see" it.
Are you also meeting others going through the same things like you there too?

Ah mom, it might feel like you are alone in caring for grandma, but actually, you are the one who gets to do it, hard as it is, and I know. When she is gone, the rest of us will wish we had the time with her that you do. And you have kept her from being alone, which she would be if it wasnt for you. You may be lonly, but you are not alone.
G-ma - your hubs are always full of inspiration. Here you tell us how to really live, how to really be good people. Sorry I haven't read one of your hubs lately. Now, I see what I was missing.
G- Ma I fully agree with you and believe action speaks louder than words but sometimes it becomes mighty difficult to keep up our promises. We are only human.
